TYPE 0 CIVILIZATION
Michio Kaku 3 types of Civilizations
TYPE 0 CIVILIZATION
As
we humans fight for sustainability and survival of our species on this planet,
we need to understand that the human race is at a crucial point of its
evolutionary process. While we are helping to prolong life, create medicine and
robots, increase our knowledge and energy sources we are also sucking our
planet dry of all the natural resources that it has for us.

One
of the most fascinating aspect of science is its faith in trusting the proof.
And all the same time also having the ability to visualise things that are not
yet proven. Hence working together with what has been proven and what can be
proven. And based on today’s technological advancements, A LOT has been proven
as far as the human ability to Create is concerned and A LOT can be conceived
and anticipated; things and ideas that used to be in the paradigm of magic or
science fiction once are now EXIST!
The
downside of it all though is all the waste product of this advancement. Humans
have reached a critical point where along with all the scientific advancement a
huge part of mankind is still under the poverty line, and yet another big part
is madly in love with consumerism. According to one my favourite Theoretical Physicist,”
Michio Kaku” the next 100 years are crucial for our existence as a species. The
coming century or two will for sure determine whether mankind will survive, or seize
to exist, and not just that, but also weather our survival would remain a type
O civilization or advance into a more evolved life form!
It
has been assumed that as a civilization grows physically and technologically,
its demands of energy consumption's grown rapidly. As is the case with our
planet currently that the population is growing of humans and so are the needs
and demands for the various factors that are associated with it, e.g. energy,
food, water, land, machines etc. In 1964 Kardashev Scale was formulated by a
Russian scientist “Niklolai Kardashev”, and it defines or assumes the usable
energy at the disposal of a civilization. Kardashev assumed 3 classes, and now 5
are being considered, where energy and access to knowledge all come together.
We
as a human race currently have not even made to the first scale yet, but we are
able to “assume” it. We only sustain our needs for energy from dead pants and
animals on earth, and that makes us a low Type 0 civilization. The ability to harness energy from the
available neighbouring star, to controlling that energy and going up a few
scales through cyborgs and making our civilization immune to extinction and
inter galactic species, in order to become a type 5 civilization the notions of
Gods might be brought back into the assumptions as, we would need to act like
or be like them. Not only having all the knowledge at our disposal but all the
possibly accessible energy of the universe and the complete control over it.
